About — est. Lagos, 2022
A party that became a movement
It's not very often that an excuse to throw a party turns into an opportunity to serve a community — but that's exactly how YPIT started. Founded in Lagos in 2022, Young People In Tech has grown into a global community of over 11,000 tech and tech-adjacent professionals who need a space to learn, shine and grow with people just like them.
What makes us different isn't the events, the Innovation Hub or the newsletters — it's our commitment to what defines the essence of community: mutual support that leads to growth for everyone involved.
